Constance Barker is a highly skilled artist and emotional healer whose journey is as vibrant and dynamic as her artwork. Originally hailing from New Zealand, Constance was raised on a farm, where her childhood was filled with adventure.  These early experiences imbued her with a deep connection to nature and a sense of wonder that continues to inspire her work today.

Throughout her formative years, Constance faced the universal challenges of understanding her identity. However, she has since embarked on a profound journey of self-discovery, marked by a commitment to her own Spiritual and Personal growth studying with Sphinx Spiritual

This path has not only shaped her as an individual but has also now led her to work with energy, helping others heal from emotional burdens that hinder their progress in life. Really it's all about 'How you feel about yourself.'

In the year 2000, Constance began exploring the world of art. Despite having no formal training, and largely self-taught she discovered her first art teacher serendipitously—a chance encounter that fuelled her artistic passion. From that pivotal moment, there was no turning back.

Her early works often featured drawings of birds and animals, and then she enjoyed experimenting with colour, particularly with soft pastels.   

Today, Constance Barker stands as an accomplished portrait artist, renowned for her ability to capture mood and expression in her work. She has developed a profound
love for working with people, pets, and other animals, as well as exploring various genres. She believes life is about FEELING....  How you feel viewing her artwork. 

Her artwork is characterized by its depth and emotive quality, achieved through her skillful use of mediums such as graphite pencil, acrylics, pastels, and oils. 

Available for commissions, Constance has a diverse portfolio that includes portraits  - babies, children, and adults—as well as pets, dogs, cats, and even more exotic animals such as alpacas -  and a tiger (though the latter was not a pet!).

One of her notable projects involved completing a portrait of an ancestral figure from a damaged photograph, assisting a client with their family tree research.

Constance currently resides in the picturesque countryside of Meeniyan in South Gippsland. Surrounded by beautiful nature, animals, and wildlife, she finds peace and nourishment for her spirit in this idyllic setting. 

With a life dedicated to both artistic expression and helping others heal, Constance Barker continues to touch the lives of many through her creative and spiritual endeavors.
